Why the article is helpful
- Effectiveness of interactive multimedia (IMM) with low-income Hispanic persons
- Feasibility of using computer-based questionnaires for evaluation
- Participants felt less intimated by completing a questionnaire
The authors measured the effectiveness of interactive multimedia (IMM) with low-income Hispanic persons. As a result, computer evaluations decreased both participant completion time and researcher analysis time. The results also supported the feasibility of using computer-based questionnaires for evaluation. Additionally, participants felt less intimidated by completing a questionnaire on the touch-screen computer. This research provided the basis for the continued development of computer-based assessment tools.
