This article identified better ways to design user interfaces among the elderly population. The authors analyzed the observations and found that they were afraid of making mistakes, had trouble using folders, downloading attachments, and found it difficult to create a search query. When asked, older users suggested simpler pages with less buttons, clearer back and forward buttons, fewer pop-ups or moving ads and search results that displayed associated groupings. The results reports the authors preliminary research.
