In this article, the authors examined the principles of universal design, ergonomic approach, and cognitive design features that interfaces must comply to for older adults to increase performance skills in technology. Barriers and variables were addressed in promote independence, attention, motivation, and memory. The authors also looked for gaps and mismatches during the executions which decreased the interaction processes in order to create better requirements for the elderly.
